La Misión de UNIORE contará con observadores de Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, México, Paraguay, Costa Rica, Perú y Honduras

Ecuador, Quito. - El Presidente de la Junta Central Electoral (JCE), Román Jáquez Liranzo, inicia hoy los trabajos de observación como Jefe de la Misión de Observación Electoral de la Unión Interamericana de Organismos Electorales (UNIORE) en las Elecciones Generales de Ecuador, que tendrán lugar el próximo domingo 07 de febrero de 2021.

Para estos trabajos, la Misión de UNIORE estará integrada por observadores electorales procedentes de Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, México, Paraguay, Costa Rica, Perú y Honduras, bajo la jefatura de Román Jáquez, presidente de la JCE de República Dominicana.

Como primera actividad, hoy miércoles, los integrantes de la Misión de UNIORE sostendrán una reunión introductoria a dichos trabajos de observación.

Este 4 de febrero, realizará en conjunto con otras misiones la observación del Voto de Personas Privadas de la Libertad (PPL), una visita al Centro de Integración, Armado y Distribución de Paquete Electoral, y participará en el Conversatorio “Mirada Intercultural en la Observación Electoral.

También, sostendrá una reunión con la presidenta Ing. Diana Atamaint y el Pleno del Consejo Nacional Electoral, participará de la firma de un memorando de entendimiento entre el Consejo Nacional Electoral de Ecuador y UNIORE, y recibirá la inducción al Programa de Observación Electoral “Elecciones Generales 2021”.

Para el viernes 5 de febrero, la Misión de UNIORE realizará en conjunto con otras misiones la observación del Voto en Casa en rutas establecidas, y se reunirá con organizaciones políticas y candidatos presidenciales.

De forma exclusiva, el 5 de febrero, la Misión sostendrá un encuentro con representantes del Tribunal Contencioso Electoral (TCE) de Ecuador y con la señora Ruth Hidalgo de la Corporación de Participación Ciudadana.

Igualmente, el sábado 6 de febrero continuará de forma exclusiva su agenda en reuniones con representantes de varias coordinaciones nacionales y encuestadora. Sostendrá también reuniones con organizaciones políticas y candidatos provinciales, y participará en el Conversatorio “Observación Electoral con Perspectiva de Género”, junto a otras misiones.

El domingo 7 de febrero, la Misión de UNIORE estará presente en la inauguración del proceso electoral, visitará recintos electorales y observará el cierre de votación y escrutinio en las Juntas Receptoras del Voto.

Finalmente, el lunes 8 de febrero realizará la presentación del Informe Preliminar y Formularios de Observación Electoral Internacional.

El magistrado Jáquez realizará estos trabajos como Jefe de Misión en compañía de la miembro titular, Magistrada Dolores Altagracia Fernández Sánchez; el secretario general del Pleno de la JCE, Sonne Beltré; y Stalin Gómez, funcionario de informática invitado por UNIORE a la misión técnica.

UNIORE expresa confianza en las autoridades electorales de México ante consulta revocación mandato

La Unión Interamericana de Organismos Electorales (UNIORE) y Protocolo de Tikal (Asociación que agrupa autoridades electorales de Centroamérica y el Caribe) expresaron su respaldo al Instituto Nacional Electoral (INE) de México, ante la situación que vive ese país, en lo relativo a la consulta de Revocación de Mandato.

Las organizaciones electorales, mediante un comunicado conjunto, sostuvieron que confían en que el INE atenderá con toda puntualidad y efectividad las resoluciones de las autoridades jurisdiccionales para dirimir la controversia surgida en relación con la Revocación de Mandato, solicitada por el mandatario de esa nación.

JCE President travels to Honduras as head of the UNIORE Observer Mission

The president of the Central Electoral Board (JCE), Román Andrés Jáquez Liranzo, travels to Honduras this Wednesday as head of the Electoral Observation Mission of the Inter-American Union of Electoral Organizations (UNIORE), for the general elections of that country to be held next Sunday, November 28.

Jáquez Liranzo was appointed by UNIORE for the aforementioned purposes and will carry out his observation work in the company of the full member, Rafael Armando Vallejo Santelises, and the Director of Planning and Development, of the JCE, Joel Lantigua.

UNIORE concludes XV Conference with rejection and condemns of attacks on electoral bodies

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.- The XV Conference of the Inter-American Union of Electoral Bodies (UNIORE) concluded this Tuesday with the Dominican Republic as host country, an event that coincided with the 30th anniversary of the entity that brings together 33 electoral bodies.

On this occasion, the event was under the pro tempore presidency of the Central Electoral Board (JCE) and the Superior Electoral Tribunal (TSE), in a day that included two days of work and that brought together 52 delegates from more than 19 member countries.

Inauguration of the XV UNIORE Conference with DR as host country

Santo Domingo.- The XV Conference of the Inter-American Union of Electoral Bodies (UNIORE) was inaugurated this Monday, an event that coincides with the 30th anniversary of the creation of the entity that brings together 33 electoral bodies, this time with the Dominican Republic as a country host, represented by the Central Electoral Board (JCE) and the Superior Electoral Tribunal (TSE).

The event, which will take place on November 1 and 2 at the Embassy Suite by Hilton Hotel in the city of Santo Domingo, brings together delegations from more than 19 UNIORE member countries.

Inauguration of the XV UNIORE keynote conference “Challenges of Democracy and Electoral Institutionality”, with the Dominican Republic as host country

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic, represented by the Central Electoral Board (JCE) and the Superior Electoral Tribunal (TSE), will host the XV Conference of the Inter-American Union of Electoral Organizations (UNIORE), which will take place on the 1st and November 2 at the Embassy Suite by Hilton Hotel in the city of Santo Domingo.

For this day in 2021, which celebrates the 30th anniversary of the creation of UNIORE, there will be 19 delegations from 24 member countries of the body, who will meet at this meeting that aims to solidify and contribute to democracy from the electoral bodies.

UNIORE conducts a workshop on "The impact of the pandemic and fake news on electoral processes"

Quito, Ecuador. - Representatives of various institutions belonging to the Inter-American Union of Electoral Organizations (UNIORE), participated in the international workshop "The impact of the pandemic and false news in electoral processes", an activity organized by the National Electoral Council of Ecuador (CNE) , during August 16 and 17 in this city.

Román Jáquez participated as head of the Electoral Observation Mission in Mexico

The pro tempore co-president of the Inter-American Union of Electoral Organizations (Uniore) and president of the Central Electoral Board (JCE) of the Dominican Republic, Román Jáquez Liranzo, participated as head of the Electoral Observation Mission in the last federal elections process and premises of Mexico City, last Sunday, June 6.
 
Jáquez Liranzo, fulfilled his work of observation in the electoral process where Mexican citizens voted to choose 500 representatives of the Federal Chamber of Deputies, 1,063 deputies, 1,923 municipal presidencies, 2,057 receiverships, 14,222 regidurías, 204 councilors and in addition to the presidencies of 22 municipal boards, 22 receiverships, 88 regidurías and 299 community presidents.

UNIORE electoral observation mission in Mexico delivers preliminary report

Lorenzo Córdova, president of the National Electoral Institute (INE) of Mexico City, received this Tuesday, June 8, the Preliminary Report of the Electoral Observation mission of the Inter-American Union of Electoral Organizations (UNIORE) delivered by the head of the mission and pro tempore co-chair, Román Jáquez Liranzo.

It is important to highlight that the UNIORE in its report, on the Federal Elections of Mexico 2021, valued the democratic civic vocation of the Mexican people.
